Cody Hobson
This name is coming up a lot lately. I conducted a traffic stop on Mr. Hobson late Friday night for misc traffic infractions. I had Mr. Hobson exit the car to sign the summon. Long story short, Hobson was concealing a Ruger 9mm loaded with hollow points with one in the pipe and the hammer back. the firearm was located in the back of his pants. 2 other loaded firearms were recovered out of the vehicle (9mm and 12ga) along with lots of cash and pills. I'm planning on speaking with Chief and Mac about the case to get this young man under control before he hurts himself or one of us.

Was he charged with the concealed weapon?
ReplyDeleteYes, he was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, under age possession of alcohol, no valid state inspection, fail to display a front tag.
ReplyDeleteGood job. Now we will work on getting him out of town.
ReplyDeleteI would personally like to see us have further contact with this young man, eventually being able to secure good charges on him and bring him before the courts and at least have him face the opportunity to get some help. In December he OD and was placed in a facility only to be removed by family members the very next day. One could assume he needs the influence of the criminal justice system with boundaries that even his family can not surpass. At 19 years old, we could just possibly be his only chance of recovery and or survival. A constant presence in his world by us may in fact displace him or with each encounter we will have yet another opportunity to put him before the courts and possibly mandate at least an attempt to turn this young man's life around. This is a young man that is slipping through the cracks, and he needs some one to help him.
