Fed Inmates back in custody

Federal inmates Dejon Washington and Greg Fauntleroy have returned to the facility in Petersburg. Apparently life outside was too much and they went back on their own.

Monday & Tuesday

Monday night Rob served a warrant on a female from Northumberland for violation of a protective order. The male subject that Dave had an encounter with at Walmart was at the Holiday Inn most of the night hanging out in the parking lot. Michael Relapse pulled the fire alarm at Holiday Inn after coming back from Applebee's.
Tuesday Rob arrested Meagan Glass and Tiffany Prescott for shoplifting at Sheetz. Also, their are warrants on file for Crystal Jackson for the same incident. The Marshall Service was in town last night looking for Dajon Washington and Gregory Fauntleroy. Apparently these two walked away from a non-secure facility in Petersburg. Everette, Rob, and the Marshalls searched Eula Myers and Kenya Richards trailer but they were not located at this time. May possibly either be in the area or headed here.

Strategic Plan Initative

Over the past few months the amount of alarm calls at the Essex County Library has increased to nearly one or two calls per night. With each call no key holder will respond. I have obtained contact information for the day shift to make contact with and to work with the staff of the library to resolve the problem. Also, we have noticed citizens utilizing the parking lot all hours of the night using the broad band service that is enabled at the library. This in itself could attract criminals either to make entry into the library, witch we found to be very easy even when locked and or to prey on unsuspecting and inattentive victims utilizing the internet access in the parking lot.

During the outlining of the departments new strategic plan, it was discussed that day shift personnel would meet with business owners and citizens to address and help facilitate the corrective measures needed to overcome problems identified by the night shift.

The contact information is a Bess Haile @ (804)443-4813.

Once this has been accomplished it would be helpful for those of us on night shift to know what steps have been taken and what efforts we can now employ to maintain a co-operative effort between the library and the department.

Requested extra patrol on Queen St

I spoke with Charlene Jackson who owns two properties on Queen St near Sunoco. She asked if we could conduct extra patrols in the area. Last Saturday she complained that several males were blocking the road on Queen St and were hanging out in front of the apartments next to the barber shop.
