12/06/10

We made several phone calls as to the whereabouts of Frankie Lamot Vaughan Nelson without any luck. I attempted to call his cell phone, but there was no answer.

I revisited lot C13 again last night around 0130. Found that the side door was cracked open and the signs had been removed. Checked the trailer and found evidence that someone had been in the trailer between last Wednesday and today. I secured the trailer again and re-posted the red condemned signs.

It's Monday morning. Bah humbug. We still haven't found Frankie Vaughan. Hope to have him in custody before Tuesday morning.

We need everyone to use this blog site if it's going to be effective.

1139 DERBY LANE #28 --- Tanyard Town Homes

On December 5, 2010 at approximately 02:30 AM I was on patrol within the Town of Tappahannock, Virginia. I drove behind the Tanyard Town Homes located on Derby Lane. When I drove in behind 1139 Derby Lane, Apartment 28, I observed a small crowd of juveniles standing between the vehicles. Also, I observed a dark green, 2004, Chevrolet, four door, Virginia License Plate XWY-9136 occupied by three young females.

As I drove closer, I immediately recognized several juveniles from prior encounters. I parked and exited my patrol car to investigate curfew violations. Immediately I smelled a strong odor of burning marijuana and furtive movement by several of the persons that were standing. I identified the following individuals standing between the vehicles;

Thomas Larry Harvey, Jr., B/M, DOB: 02-14-1994

Damian Lee Holmes, B/M, DOB: 08-18-1994

Trevon Littrelle Stewart, B/M, DOB: 04-08-1992

These three individuals, listed above, were occupants of a vehicle I traffic stopped earlier in the week. A minute amount of marijuana residue was found in that vehicle. No charges were filed. Standing with them was;

Eboni Nichele Veney, B/F, DOB: 10-15-1990

William Roderick Tyler, B/M, DOB: 11-27-1993

Veney stated that she resided at 1139 #28 Derby Lane. Further, she pointed out where she had extinguished the marijuana cigar on the ground and destroyed it.

The dark green Chevrolet 4 door was registered to Sandra Ann Payne and was driven by;

Alexus Corinne Henry, B/F, DOB: 12-28-1991

Front passenger; Ebony Darnice Tunstall, B/F, DOB: 12-21-1993

Driver’s Side rear passenger; Brandy Shantell Tunstall, B/F, 07-18-1995

Harvey, Holmes, Stewart, Veney, and Tyler all consented to searches of their person. No other contraband was found. Veney, Stewart, and Henry were verbally warned about the possibility of being charged with contributing to the delinquency of juveniles. I ordered all the subject’s to return to their respective residences. I further verbally warned them about the possibility of curfew violations.

Henry drove away with both Tunstal females. Harvey departed with one of the other juveniles in a teal green, Chevrolet S-10 pick-up, VA License Plate XPX-7245. That vehicle is registered to Mary Louise Harvey. The rest of the individuals entered the rear of Unit #’s 27 & 28.

FRANKIE LAMOTA VAUGHAN, B/M, DOB: 05-20-1982, VA DL: T67-01-7684, SSN: 226-43-1293 is WANTED FOR; Brandishing a firearm, Threatening a witness, Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Capt. Davis and Lt. Johnson handled the call today for the incident. In summary; Curvin Roy was threatened by the listed wanted subject.

Simple Possession of Marijuana Arrest

I stopped a red, 2008, Honda, Fit, 4 Door, VA. License Plate XKN-5562 for speeding and window tint being too dark at about 01:00 this AM. I have often seen this vehicle early in the AM coming north along 17. His car is very eye catching. The red is very bright against the dark tinted windows.

The driver, only occupant, was Hoyt R. Adickes, W/M, DOB: 06-21-1977, VA DL: T61-54-3737. He lives in Suffolk, VA. However, his company pays for him to live in Richmond County area while he is working here.

Adickes stated he is a long time marijuana smoker. I caught him with a personal use amount (1ST Offense). He states that he gets his marijuana from the beach. Further, he knows that his window tint is too dark. So, you have instant RS / PC for the stop. Just call me if you want to borrow my tint meter to stop the car. I doubt he will stop smoking marijuana any time soon.

12/2/10

Per department sent email, The trailer located at C-13 King St. has been condemned. At approximately 0230 Middleton and I checked the trailer and found Albert Smith (aka AJ) sleeping in the trailer using the oven as a heater. Mr. Smith stated he knew the property was going to be condemned, but had spoken to Mr. Sydnor about staying the night and was told that was "ok". Being that the trailer in not properly posted as condemned, I allowed Mr. Smith to gather his belongings and leave without a summons. Mr. Smith was told during this time not to return to the property. We attempted to secure the trailer, but was unable to due to the broken windows. Before leaving the trailer, we walked through each room and noticed inside one of the bedrooms was a bar of white soap, a box cutter and aluminum foil. It appears that someone is/was chipping at this bar of soap to make fake crack cocaine.

INFO FROM THIS PAST WEEK OR SO

First, I have been running into a lot of the ----- wanna be ----- marijuana recently. I have seen containers that have the names including "K2", "POSH", and also "SPICE". Several reliable sources have stated that these currently legal plant materials will get you high just like pot. However, there are side effects;

Monday night I dealt with a juvenile in the parking lot of Wal-Mart vomiting. He also had an accellerated heart rate. He admitted that he had been smoking "SPICE". He required medical attention at RTH. The doctor at RTH explained that the "SPICE" reacted with the "Aderrall" he was prescribed for ADHD. While this kid was lucky that he only got sick. The doctor stated that it could have killed him .

On a side note, this is a tobacco product that is being sold at the local tobacco store near SUBWAY. So, for juveniles it is still a status offense to possess it.

Tonight, I dealt with Mark L. Pierce, DOB: 12-28-1963, SSN: 231-92-7963. He was walking up toward the shelter area at the Marsh Street Pool / Recreation Center. He was drunk and attempting to urinate in public. I ordered him to leave and not urinate in public after showing him the No Trespassing Sign he had ignored. I was unable to post his photo. But, I'm sure you can view it on LINX.

Last, because of the high wind and rain the power along 17 has been on and off. Expect a lot of alarm calls. BUT, STAY FROSTY ON EACH CALL, DON'T GET COMPLACENT!

Tuesday Nov 30

Fairly quite night, wind and rain started playing havoc on the alarm systems due to power surges. Noting major to report.
