Buoy 17

Just heard that Friday, Robbie Grimstead and Chad Rock will be at Buoy 17. Last year they were at Ferebee's when we had the big street fight. Hopefully it will be quiet this year but just in case I'll keep my phone close. Be safe this weekend.

Foot & Vehicular Traffic at Rappahannock Apts

Recently there has been a lot of traffic at Rappahannock Apartments. Last night Drake, Monte Veney, Bostow, and others were consistently in and out of the complex most of the night. Timmy advised that the girl in the back was soon to be evicted; however, they are also hanging out at the apartments on the left as you come in. Rob saw Veney with the back pack and when I pulled in he left and went towards Townhouse. We weren't sure it was him until he returned without the backpack.

Also, Rob was flagged down in the Wakefield area due to citizens concerned about speeders in the area. Rob checked the area and noticed that the only speed limit sign was on Lewis Street. Someone may want to check about having more signs installed in the area.

Thursday Night

On Thursday night around 11:30 I ran across a vehicle sitting on Janette Drive across from Magnum Auto sale. When I went by I saw a female outside the passenger side of the vehicle. When I turned around and went back I did not see her. As I was running the vehicle information the female subject came walking up from the car lot. I asked her what she was doing over there and she stated that she was making sure they had not left her tag on a motor home they had just turned back in because she wanted to cancel the auto insurance. Her name was Denise Elizabeth Wells and the driver was Donald William Coates. He stated that he had just met her the night before and was giving her a ride to Urbana. I don't believe they had time to do anything; however, day shift may want to check with Magnum Auto Sales to see if they know this lady and why she may be there.

River Users at the end of Duke Street

We are starting to get a lot of complaints from the condos at the end of Duke Street concerning teenagers parking at the end of the street playing loud music, urinating on the beach, dumping trash, etc. I recognize the right of anyone using the beach at this location, however the decorum has to be within the limits. I know we do not have a noise ordnance at this time, however you may want to consider 18.2-419 which, in part, prohibits persons from assembling in a manner which disrupts to threatens to disrupt any individual's right to tranquility in the home. This may require someone from the condo coming to court. I am also looking at the re-posting of signs at the end of the street that were removed by the hurricane.

Please patrol this area.
